Our recent annual SWPS Senior Awards Ceremony saw the Class of 2022 awarded their A Level certificates, along with their Extended Project Qualifications and richly-deserved Subject Prizes. Our guest speaker, Perkonian, Professor Nicola King - Class of 1999 - provided a moving and inspirational talk. Our new Perkonians and their parents, as well as the School Governors and Cllr Margaret Harnden, Mayor of Runnymede enjoyed performances from our Chamber Choir, under the musical direction of Dr Amy Bebbington, as well as Hayun, who performed a violin concerto. Hayun was also awarded with our Music prize on the evening. Following the ceremony, guests took in a wonderful array of artwork produced by our talented students whilst enjoying drinks and canapes. Old school friendships were renewed and staff and students reacquainted. Our Class of 2022 were certainly very talented students, having achieved the best set of A Level results in the school’s history, and we look forward to seeing what they accomplish in years to come.
A massive thank you to Professor Nicola King - Class of 1999 for coming along to be our guest of honour and speak to our new Perkonians - if you are interested in talking at our Senior Awards in 2023 please contact me mbradbury@swps.org.uk.
