The SWPS Senior Awards Ceremony for the Class of 2023 was an evening filled with excitement, joy, and well-deserved recognition. The school community came together to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the Class of 2023, from academic excellence to outstanding contributions into our community and going above and beyond in their services to others.

The evening began with performances from the Melba Choir, followed by some profound and guiding words from The Chair of Governors, Mrs Duke and A Level presentation awards and EPQ certificates from the Head, Ms Picton. Proud parents applauded their children's accomplishments, teachers beamed with pride, and friends cheered for their peers. The awards ranged from The Worship Company of Tallow Chandlers STEM Award, Burren Prize for Integrity, S6 Community Award and the Anthony Eady Prize for Service to the School.

Congratulations to Shruti R for winning the Burren Prize for Integrity, as she went above and beyond in her service to others, through organising the Sixth Form Pantomime, Prom, and Junior Drama.   Special recognition goes to Amy C, for winning S6 Community Award. From choreographing a whole school production to running Science clubs for younger students.  No job was ever too big or small for Amy.  A particular mention to Sierra W for winning both the Anthony Eady Prize for Service to the School and The Worship Company of Tallow Chandlers STEM Award.  Sierra threw herself into all the school activities and events during her time in the Sixth Form and is an all-around academic powerhouse!

After the presentations, music scholar and violinist Kaitlin H performed Meditation from Thais by Jules Massenet, and a breathtaking recital by Milly B of Habanera by George Bizet. The guests later enjoyed canapés and drinks in the Atrium whilst viewing artwork from the incredibly talented Class of 2023 artists.

This memorable event highlighted the exceptional talents of the Class of 2023 and showcased the dedication and hard work they put into their academic and extracurricular pursuits. It was a fitting tribute to their years of commitment, and we wish them well as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. The evening marked the start of a new journey that lies ahead, and the Class of 2023 are well-equipped to embrace the opportunities and challenges that await them.
